Hyde Park High School (fifth) is built.
1902
Architect: Loring & Phipps. Designed in the Classical Revival style, the yellow brick building is located at 15 Everett Street. The building is a gift to the community from local resident Edward Ingersoll Brown. The school moves to new building (sixth) in 1929* and the building becomes the William Rogers Middle School, named for the first president of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. An addition larger than the original building is added in 1933. The school closes in 2015 and is slated to be converted to residential use.
